Dear Parents,

We are pleased to announce that Schaumburg Oyanokai is bringing back the Japan Trip for the 2027-2028 school year! Now is the time to begin saving up for this amazing opportunity!

In order to maximize the number of students that can join, we are giving families 2.5 years time to save up for this.

With an estimated 8-12 days of touring around Japan, we are expecting a cost of approximately $4,500-$5,000. That means $144 per month savings needed.

During the tour, we will visit some of Japan’s most famous landmarks.  Please see the proposed itinerary below:

*This trip will be part of a group tour taken with a professional tour company.  However, the portion of the trip to Namerikawa will not be with the tour company. All interested participants should be SO members.

NAMERIKAWA (Schaumburg’s Sister City & Dooley Penpal Exchange/Visit NOT with Tour Company)

Since this trip has not been offered since 2017, Schaumburg Oyanokai will be voting and deciding on the details as soon as the SO meetings begin in September 2025.
